Job Description:
About the Role
This Packaging Engineer joins a production or facilities-focused team, supporting packaging projects, prototype assembly, tooling development, troubleshooting, and timeline management. The role requires both technical and soft skills, contributes actively to team goals, manages multiple projects simultaneously, and adapts quickly in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
Technical Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
+ 1–3 years’ experience in packaging engineering and development—ideally in cosmetics, consumer goods, or similar high-volume production industries.
+ Understanding of packaging production processes, tooling, materials, and prototype assembly.
+ High skill with **Microsoft Office** , particularly PowerPoint; experience with packaging specification and testing systems a plus.
Analytical & Quality Orientation
+ Meticulous attention to design details, quality assurance, and process documentation.
+ Ability to troubleshoot technical/process issues and proactively anticipate roadblocks.
+ Well-versed in analyzing, reporting, and maintaining accurate information on packaging performance and production metrics.
Project Management & Organization
+ Well organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
+ Proven project coordination skills—able to push for adherence to key deliverable dates across teams and vendors.
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
+ Strong verbal and written communication for explaining technical concepts and collaborating in diverse, global teams.
+ Interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork, independent work in a matrix environment, and effective stakeholder engagement.
Soft Skills & Culture Fit
+ High adaptability and self-motivation; demonstrates a proactive mindset.
+ Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
+ Culturally aware and capable of thriving in collaborative, multinational environments.
Bonus/Preferred
+ Knowledge of packaging design software (CAD, SolidWorks, ArtiosCAD) and testing protocols is helpful for future growth, but not mandatory for entry/mid-level roles.
+ Experience with sustainability principles, regulatory requirements, or GMP is a plus.
