AWS Sales is seeking a Strategy & Operations Leader to align and support all of Specialist GTM direct and indirect teams aligned to AWS AI Applied Solutions and two other key sales teams. This is global role that will partner with three Directors to help grow adoption for strategic AWS domains and services. This role will will lead a team that works to continuously evolve forecasting models, analyze historic results, and make business recommendations to senior management based on those analyses – all in an environment of rapid growth and increasing complexity. This will include working with the Specialized Sales leadership to develop, and other leaders across Amazon to implement and manage the annual GTM plan, business processes, systems, reports and strategies that optimize business functions to meet organizational goals and initiatives.
This Specialist Strategy and Operations Leader will lead a team and act as a trusted business advisor to GTM Leader around the world, leveraging data and analysis to land business insights, develop GTM strategies, and scale the business. Your insights will drive incubation and growth for some of the most complex, innovative and revenue driven offerings in the AWS portfolio. This position also manages the administration and execution of the team’s goals and targets, including segmentation of business goals to the domain level , measurement of goal attainment, evolving and driving various demand generation campaigns and proposing improvements to the business to increase its effectiveness in driving desired results. This position will be responsible for managing the rhythm of the business activities such as Weekly Business Reviews, Monthly Business Reviews, Quarterly Business Reviews, and other cadenced reporting and metrics. As such, this position will require a technical depth of understanding of the Service offerings and solutions to meet end-customer needs and business requirements.

- The successful candidate must be able to roll-up their sleeves, learn the technical solutions and understand the addressable opportunity by Geo and segment, and work directly with the data models to discern strategic insights.
- They will be passionate about their work, detail-oriented, analytical, and have excellent problem-solving abilities.
- They will be experienced at working with large data sets and the technical tools needed to work with them.
- They will have superb communication and customer-relationship skills, analytic insight, and possess stakeholder management skills at an executive level.
- Active collaboration with leadership in AWS Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence, Business Development, Finance, Marketing, Recruiting, and Compensation will be crucial to the effective execution of the responsibilities.
- They will drive towards simple, scalable solutions to difficult problems, have excellent project-management skills, and be able to communicate complex analytical results, both written and verbally, in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
- They will hire, develop, manage and motivate a team of high-performing sales operations professionals.

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 10+ years of building and leading large teams and working in matrixed operating structures experience
- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent
- Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent
- 10+ years of driving growth through and with cross-functional teams including inside sales, technical, marketing, segmentation, legal (contracts) experience
- Experience working within a high-growth, technology company.
- Proficiency with annual forecasting and planning and related 3rd party tools.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $157,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
