    Description

Have you ever wanted to be part of a team who is building industry changing technology? Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

Amazon is looking for a Sr. HR Partner (HRP) to support the Kuiper organization. This role will be a member of the dynamic HRP4 People eXperience and Technology (PXT) team. This team provides both strategic and hands on HR support to the business and is instrumental in restructuring HR functions, processes, and systems to deliver efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency by enhancing manager capabilities while maintaining employee experience.

Senior HR Partners directly support multiple senior leaders across regions and businesses, providing high-judgment HR expertise that enables managers to become force multipliers for customer impact and positive employee experience. The role requires advanced knowledge in talent development, performance management, employee relations, and retention insights. Senior HRPs work backwards from the voice of the manager to deliver personalized experiences, educate leaders to enhance capability and self-service, and drive large-scale initiatives using technology and simplified processes that match the speed and agility of our business. As trusted consultants to managers and senior managers, they balance strategic guidance with practical solutions that align with Amazon's unique culture and business needs.

    Key job responsibilities

    - Make high-judgment decisions with autonomy while serving as a strategic advisor to business leaders across the organization

    - Coach and guide managers through complex performance management and employee relations matters, ensuring bias-free evaluations and effective resolution of sensitive issues

    - Identify trends in performance, development, and retention data; develop solutions for systemic issues and implement proactive mechanisms to achieve business goals

    - Partner with Legal and Employee Relations teams to handle complex investigations and policy matters while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation

    - Design and deliver manager initiatives that enhance capabilities and promote self-service, using various formats from 1:1s to scalable learning programs

    - Evaluate HR structures, processes, and systems to identify opportunities for improvement; influence product development and drive standardization across the organization

    - Lead complex change initiatives and organizational changes across the business, designing effective adoption strategies for diverse employee groups

    - Mentor junior HR team members, leveraging subject matter expertise in HR policies, tools, processes, and programs

    - Act as steward of Amazon's culture and the employee/manager experience, translating business priorities into high-impact work

    - Drive implementation of Amazon-wide and/or Enterprise-wide initiatives that improve the Business Manager Experience and positively impact efficiency and profitability

    Basic Qualifications

    - Bachelor's degree

    - Experience in leadership work as an HR generalist, preferably in a high tech environment

    - Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company

    - Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities

    - Experience working with and influencing senior level stakeholders

    - Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

    Preferred Qualifications

    - Master's degree in Human Resources or related field with proven track record of accomplishments in fast-paced, customer-driven environments

    - Hands-on leader who remains deeply engaged in the business; combines intellectual curiosity, creative thinking, and pragmatism to understand current and future talent needs

    - Strong data-driven approach with advanced analytics skills; ability to develop meaningful people metrics and implement solutions that drive positive organizational change

    - Experience developing and implementing HR programs, with demonstrated ability to sustain initiatives during times of change

    - Exceptional project management capabilities; proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, optimize resources, and deliver results in dynamic environments

    - Advanced stakeholder management skills; ability to interface effectively with executives, influence through data-driven recommendations, and demonstrate excellent coaching and interpersonal capabilities
