What will you do?
As a Principal Product Manager for Pricing Intelligence at Amazon Shipping, you'll drive the development of sophisticated pricing models and platforms that unlock profitable growth across global markets. You'll translate complex business requirements into scalable systems and actionable insights that enhance our pricing decisions, making them more precise, responsive, and aligned with customer needs. You'll build pricing intelligence frameworks that leverage data science and analytics to understand market dynamics, customer behavior patterns, and competitive positioning.
You'll lead the implementation of advanced analytics platforms that generate deep insights into customer propensity, segment-specific pricing opportunities, and value perception. Your work will empower business teams to make data-driven pricing decisions that optimize for both long-term growth and profitability. You'll develop forecasting capabilities and scalable systems that anticipate market shifts and customer behaviors, allowing Amazon Shipping to stay ahead of industry trends.

You are an innovative product leader with deep expertise in pricing analytics, predictive modeling, and data-driven decision making. You have a proven track record of developing sophisticated platforms and pricing intelligence capabilities that drive significant business impact. Experience building scalable systems that handle complex analytical workflows is highly valuable. As this position involves regular interaction with senior leadership (VP+), you're comfortable influencing at the highest levels while also providing hands-on guidance to business, analytics, and technical teams.

Key job responsibilities
1) Pricing Intelligence & Analytics
Develop sophisticated pricing intelligence platforms that provide unprecedented visibility into market dynamics
Build scalable predictive models that identify key factors influencing customer purchasing decisions
Create analytics frameworks that highlight opportunities for pricing optimization based on customer behavior patterns
Design intelligence solutions that surface the right insights to the right stakeholders at the right time
Architect systems that ensure pricing data accuracy and compliance
2) Platform Development & Scale
Build robust pricing platforms that scale with business growth
Design flexible frameworks that support rapid market expansion
Develop automated workflows that enhance pricing efficiency
Create integrated solutions that connect with enterprise systems
Ensure platform reliability and data integrity
3) Customer & Market Insights
Build systems that capture and analyze customer feedback, behaviors, and preferences
Develop customer segmentation models that identify unique pricing opportunities
Create frameworks for measuring customer propensity and willingness to pay
Design visualization capabilities that make complex insights accessible
Enable data-driven decision making across stakeholder groups
4) Forecasting & Modeling
Lead development of scalable forecasting models for pricing impacts
Create scenario analysis tools that evaluate different pricing approaches
Build models that identify optimal pricing points across segments
Develop capabilities for measuring long-term customer value impact
Design flexible systems that adapt to changing market conditions
5) Cross-Functional Leadership
Partner with business teams to translate pricing intelligence into action
Collaborate with data science teams on advanced analytical approaches
Work with engineering to build robust, scalable solutions
Influence senior leaders to adopt data-driven pricing approaches
Drive continuous innovation in pricing intelligence capabilities
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field
- 8+ years of product management experience, including roadmap ownership, end-to-end delivery, and building pricing analytics or data products with demonstrated expertise in statistical modeling and enterprise-scale platforms
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field
- Experience with dynamic pricing, revenue optimization systems, machine learning/AI technologies, and business intelligence platforms, preferably in a global context

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $145,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $240,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
