Description
Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Manufacturing Quality at Project Kuiper, you will coordinate cross-functional teams to implement quality systems for satellite manufacturing. You will support quality standards across our manufacturing ecosystem while collaborating with engineering, operations, and external partners to ensure our satellites meet reliability requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement manufacturing quality systems across Project Kuiper's satellite production
- Monitor quality metrics, collect data, and perform analysis to identify improvement opportunities
- Execute quality control processes for complex aerospace manufacturing operations
- Work with engineering teams to implement technical requirements into manufacturing quality specifications
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure component quality meets Project Kuiper standards
- Conduct root cause analysis for manufacturing defects and implement corrective actions
- Maintain documentation for quality processes that meet aerospace industry standards
- Support quality engineers and contribute to team development
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 3+ years of software development experience
- 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
