    Job Summary

    In this role, you will provide support in planning and preparedness activities that help ensure continuity of operations during potential business disruptions. Working under guidance, this role supports business continuity documentation, data analysis, incident preparedness and response, as well as maintaining the digital continuity management platform. The Specialist will also participate in incident response activities in a supporting capacity.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    + Assist in gathering and organizing business continuity documentation and recovery procedures across various sites and departments.

    + Support data collection and validation efforts for business impact analyses (BIAs) and risk assessments.

    + Help maintain and update plan templates, policies, procedures, contact lists, directories, and document repositories used across the continuity program.

    + Contribute to the preparation of reports, dashboards, and status updates that track business continuity metrics and compliance.

    + With guidance, support scenario planning, and participate in the execution of business continuity and crisis management exercises.

    + Monitor and track plan reviews, training, and testing activities to help ensure program compliance across departments.

    + Assist in documenting lessons learned from exercises or real events, including coordinating follow-up actions as needed.

    + Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.

    Additional Responsibilities

    + Participate in special projects that support the maturity and effectiveness of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Resilience programs.

    + Assist with monitoring external events or news that may present risks to business operations.

    Education

    + Bachelor’s degree required in business, emergency management, risk management, science, or a related field.

    Work Experience

    + 3+ years of work experience required.

    + Business Continuity prior experience is not required, though internships or coursework in business continuity, emergency management, risk, or supply chain is preferred.

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

    + Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

    + Ability to follow structured instructions and procedures.

    + Willingness to learn and grow in the field of business continuity and organizational resilience.

    + Comfort working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. \#LI-AP1 #LI-HYBRID

    License and Certifications

    + ABCP (Associate Business Continuity Professional) or CBCI (Certification of the Business Continuity Institute) certification required within one year of hire.

    Travel Requirements

    10%: Up to 26 business days per year

    Physical Requirements

    Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
