Canada Payroll Specialist

Adecco is looking for a detail-oriented **Payroll Specialist** to manage and process payroll, pension, and benefits for approximately 350 active and 45 seasonal employees across Canada. This role ensures accurate and compliant payroll operations while supporting HR and Finance teams with reporting, reconciliation, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
+ Process bi-monthly payroll for Canadian employees and international assignees using Workday and Dayforce.
+ Verify and maintain accurate payroll data, including earnings, deductions, and benefits.
+ Ensure compliance with federal and provincial payroll legislation and tax requirements.
+ Reconcile payroll accounts in SAP and coordinate with Finance on monthly and year-end close.
+ Prepare and distribute annual T4s and other required filings.
+ Administer employee benefits and pension contributions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
+ Support annual pension audits and data updates with Finance and external partners.
+ Respond to employee payroll inquiries and government requests.
+ Identify and implement process improvements to enhance payroll efficiency.
Qualifications
+ Diploma or degree in Accounting, HR, or a related field.
+ 3–5 years of experience in Canadian payroll administration.
+ Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll legislation and statutory reporting.
+ Proficiency with Workday, Dayforce, and SAP (or similar systems).
+ Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
+ PCP certification (or in progress) preferred.

**Pay Details:** $20.00 per hour
