    Job Title: Engineering Technician

    Job Description

    This role involves hands-on work at project sites, supporting environmental assessments, remediation efforts, and regulatory compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background , field experience, and a passion for environmental engineering.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).

    + Perform soil, groundwater, surface water, and air sampling in accordance with regulatory standards.

    + Support remedial design and implementation for contaminated sites, including Brownfield redevelopment.

    + Maintain accurate field logs, chain-of-custody documentation, and safety protocols.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or related field.

    + 3+ years of relevant field experience preferred.

    + Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

    + Proficiency in geology, construction, engineering, environmental science, and remediation.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + EIT or PE license is a plus.

    + Familiarity with HTRW, radiological remediation, and landfill operations is desirable.

    + Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

    + Ability to travel to project sites and work in varying field conditions.

    Work Environment

    This position involves a blend of 50% field work and 50% office duties. It requires travel to project sites, such as those in Rochester or Jamestown, as necessary. The work environment promotes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists, offering opportunities for professional growth and licensure support.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo, New York.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
