Technical Writer Opportunity Paying $40/hr in Miramar, FL

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer for a 3-month project based in Miramar, FL. This is a full-time, on-site role (5 days/week) starting immediately after interview, offering $40/hour.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in Microsoft platforms, comfortable using a camera to capture and upload images, and capable of organizing and updating service manuals with minimal new content creation.

Key Responsibilities

+ Review and revise existing service manuals for accuracy, clarity, and consistency

+ Piece together documentation from older manuals and create small amounts of new content

+ Collaborate with 3 subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and verify information

+ Capture and upload photographs of equipment, components, and procedures

+ Format and organize documentation using Microsoft tools (Word, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)

+ Maintain version control and document history

+ Support updates across multiple product lines

+ No compliance documentation required

Required Qualifications

+ Experience in technical writing, preferably in a service or manufacturing environment

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and cloud platforms (SharePoint, OneDrive)

+ Ability to take clear, well-lit photographs and upload them into documentation systems

+ Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

+ Fluent in English

+ Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation tasks

Preferred Qualifications

+ Familiarity with document control systems or enterprise content management platforms

+ Basic understanding of mechanical or electrical systems

+ Experience working with cross-functional teams in a technical environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
