    Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant

    Job Description

    The Pharmacy Assistant will play a crucial role in the packaging and shipping of drugs, supplies, and patient information, adhering to company policies and state board of pharmacy regulations. This position is vital to ensure the safe and timely delivery of medications.

    Responsibilities

    + Prepare medications for shipment, ensuring the integrity, sterility, and stability of drugs and supplies.

    + Follow designated checklists with attention to detail.

    + Coordinate dissemination of information to patients regarding holiday and unscheduled closings through package inserts.

    + Review daily shipping manifests to confirm delivery addresses and times.

    + Collaborate with the Pharmacy team to address order-related questions and escalate potential issues.

    + Restock pharmacy medications and supplies, and rotate ice packs and coolers.

    + Reset the shipping room at the end of each day to prepare for the next business day.

    Essential Skills

    + High School diploma required.

    + Fundamental knowledge of computers, including MS Word and Excel.

    + Ability to work as a team and collaborate effectively.

    + Willingness to work morning and/or afternoon shifts.

    + Flexible and multi-task oriented.

    + Effective communication skills.

    + Ability to stand for 95% of the day.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in mail order or specialty pharmacy is preferred.

    + Experience with inventory management and shipping using FedEx/UPS.

    + Pharmacy technician certification is advantageous.

    + Ability to lift 50 lbs.

    + Good with adapting to constant change.

    + Understanding the importance of working with time-sensitive and temperature-sensitive oncology medications.

    + One-year experience in mail service or specialty pharmacy dispensing preferred.

    + Excellent time management and organizational skills.

    + Ability to perform under pressure.

    + Innovative and continuous improvement mindset.

    Work Environment

    This is an onsite position located at Park Vista Blvd. Suite #150, Fort Worth, TX. The work schedule rotates between Mon-Fri 9am-6pm one week and Tues-Sat (Hours TBD) the next week.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Texas.

     

    Pay Rate: $18.50/hr

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
