    Job Description

    As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in the fulfillment and distribution of prescription medications. You will utilize fulfillment systems to ensure accurate and efficient service, contributing to a transformative pharmacy model that leverages automation to enhance patient care.

    Responsibilities

    + Fulfill and distribute prescription medications using automated fulfillment systems.

    + Enter patient demographics and prescription data accurately into processing systems.

    + Resolve claim rejects and insurance billing issues effectively.

    + Escalate prescription-related questions to pharmacists for interpretation.

    + Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients and physicians professionally.

    + Operate automated machinery to sort, count, label, pack, and ship prescriptions.

    + Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with machine upkeep.

    + Identify and communicate issues to senior staff as needed.

    + Ensure compliance with HIPAA and quality control standards.

    Essential Skills

    + Pharmacy technician certification

    + Experience in prescription fulfillment, including counting, labeling, packing, and shipping medications using automated systems.

    + Data entry accuracy and proficiency in entering patient and prescription data using pharmacy systems.

    + Skill in resolving third-party claim rejects and resubmitting for processing.

    + Strong communication skills for handling inbound and outbound calls with patients and physicians.

    + Basic computer proficiency, including PC operations, internet navigation, and typing at least 25 WPM.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Customer service experience in pharmacy or healthcare settings.

    + Advanced typing skills of 35+ WPM with formatting proficiency.

    + Ability to interpret SIG codes and resolve data entry exceptions.

    + Experience with automated pharmacy machinery and inventory workflows.

    Work Environment

    The position is based in a fully onsite, high-volume prescription fulfillment center. The role involves working overnight shifts from Monday to Wednesday, 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM, totaling 30 hours per week. The work environment is collaborative and offers training opportunities within one of the nation’s leading healthcare retailers.

    This is a Contract position based out of Bolingbrook, Illinois.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
