    Job Title: Supplier Quality Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Supplier Quality Engineer to join our team in the aerospace industry, focusing on turbojet engine manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all suppliers meet our stringent quality standards and contribute to the overall success of our products. This role requires a strong technical experience, exceptional critical thinking skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

    Responsibilities

    + Ensure suppliers meet quality standards in the aerospace industry.

    + Focus on turbojet engine manufacturing quality assurance.

    + Collaborate with suppliers to improve product quality.

    + Manage vendor onboarding and documentation creation.

    + Handle internal documentation such as MRB and inspection plans.

    + Travel 25% within the United States to vendor sites.

    + Travel internationally, including a one-week trip to the Czech Republic.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in GD&T, AS9100, AS9102 standards.

    + Understanding of PPAP, focusing on 7 key steps.

    + Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and QAD.

    + 5+ years of experience in supplier quality.

    + Engineering degree (e.g., electrical engineering).

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Experience in the aerospace industry.

    + Familiarity with exotic alloys, such as Inconel.

    + Knowledge of APQP.

    + Self-starter attitude with the ability to 'see a need, fill a need.'

    + Comfortable working without established SOPs.

    + Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.

    Work Environment

    This is a 100% onsite role from Monday to Friday, with regular hours until 5:30 pm/6:00 pm. The position involves 50% of time dealing specifically with vendors and the other 50% handling internal documentation. The role requires 25% travel within the U.S. to vendor sites and international travel, necessitating a valid passport. The candidate will work independently, filling needs as they arise without established SOPs, and will be the go-to person for Supplier Quality with no direct reports.

    This is a Permanent position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $125000.00 - $150000.00/hr.
