Job Description
The Medical Assistant will manage the customer flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of their customers. Customers come from a variety of backgrounds and various age groups requiring individualized care including infants, children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics. The focus of the Medical Assistant is on collaborative, supportive, and delegated tasks. The Medical Assistant receives direction and collaborates with the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers to meet the defined goals of the customer, shift, department, and organization. Communication with the health care team related to progress, concerns, questions, or problems that arise is an essential element of the Medical Assistant role.
Responsibilities
+ Manage customer flow throughout the clinic efficiently.
+ Assist providers in the management and treatment of customers.
+ Provide individualized care to customers from diverse backgrounds and age groups, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
+ Collaborate with the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers to achieve defined goals.
+ Communicate effectively with the health care team regarding progress, concerns, questions, or problems.
Essential Skills
+ Medical assisting skills.
+ Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) certification.
+ Current BLS Certification.
+ Experience in patient care and using Epic software.
Skills & Qualifications
+ High School graduate or equivalent (i.e., GED).
+ Graduate of an ABHES or CAAHEP accredited Medical Assistant program.
+ Previous experience in a clinical setting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $46238.00 - $56929.00/yr.
