    We are seeking a full-time Mechanical Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work in various areas including assembling spacecraft hardware, soldering and PCB inspections, harness builds, and testing components and assemblies. This position offers the opportunity to follow spacecraft through environmental testing campaigns. We are looking for individuals passionate about space systems who have a desire to continuously learn and improve.

    Responsibilities

    + Assemble spacecraft hardware and perform soldering and PCB inspections.

    + Build and test harnesses and wire connectors.

    + Conduct testing of components and assemblies.

    + Follow spacecraft through environmental testing campaigns.

    + Operate torque wrenches and similar tools to product specifications.

    + Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware problems with engineers.

    + Install project-specific sensors such as thermistors and accelerometers.

    + Document processes and follow step-by-step guidelines for building electrical and mechanical assemblies.

    + Support Propulsion Module and Spacecraft Testing.

    Essential Skills

    + Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and follow drawings and written instructions.

    + Experience with soldering, crimping, and harness build.

    + Experience with electronics testing and board repair.

    + Ability to use precision measuring tools.

    + Good written and verbal communication skills.

    + 10 years of experience in a relevant field.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with CAD software, Visio, and Excel.

    + Experience with fabrication, testing, and non-conformance resolution.

    + NASA Certifications for soldering, crimping, and harnesses.

    + Experience with vacuum chambers.

    + Good time-management skills.

    Work Environment

    This position operates in a cleanroom environment. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and climb a 13-foot ladder. The company offers a collaborative work culture, being a smaller organization with 120 employees. They provide 2 weeks of PTO, with potential for 3 weeks based on experience.     This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Littleton, Colorado.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
