    We are seeking a part-time Environmental Technician to support stormwater sampling work. In this role, you will travel to various industrial facilities to collect stormwater samples, perform inspections, and conduct laboratory tests. While you will initially train under other staff members, the majority of your work will be performed independently. The position may require out-of-state and overnight travel.     Responsibilities

    + Collect stormwater samples from industrial facilities for inspection and testing.

    + Submit results and deliver samples to the lab.

    + Communicate with the data analyst in real-time through a smartphone application while taking samples.

    + Occasionally travel to other states within the region and stay overnight.

    + Work alongside Project Managers to gain experience in Industrial Hygiene, Remediation, EH&S, or Due Diligence teams.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in environmental science or a related field.

    + Proficiency in water sampling and environmental site assessment.

    + Strong report writing skills.

    + Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with team members.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + BS in Environmental Science or Occupational Health and Safety.

    + Strong references that speak to reliability and initiative.

    + Coursework in environmental studies and sampling coursework preferred.

    + Must have a smartphone.

    + Willingness to travel and work outside normal business hours, being on-call as needed.

    + Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

    Work Environment

    The position involves working approximately 30 hours per week, with the flexibility to be on-call for sample collection depending on rainfall. The technician will travel to sites across the region, including Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. You will be the primary representative on-site, working alongside facility managers and advised by site managers. A company laptop and rental vehicle will be provided, with options for mileage reimbursement if using a personal vehicle. Supplies for testing can be picked up daily or stocked in the vehicle. When not performing sampling work, there are opportunities to shadow and assist team members in different departments, although this is not guaranteed. The role may potentially transition into a full-time position within other service lines upon contract completion.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, Ohio.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
