    Job Title: QC Environmental Monitoring Technician (QC EM Tech)

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated QC Environmental Monitoring Technician to perform environmental monitoring and sampling in controlled, classified manufacturing areas. The role involves surface monitoring, viable air monitoring, and non-viable particulate monitoring, as well as personnel monitoring when necessary. The technician will be responsible for sampling critical utilities including feed water, reverse osmosis water, water-for-injection, pure steam, and compressed gases. Additional duties include autoclaving laboratory supplies, maintaining general laboratory cleanliness, and meticulous record-keeping in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform environmental monitoring in manufacturing areas.

    + Conduct sampling of critical utilities such as water and gases.

    + Autoclave laboratory supplies and maintain laboratory cleanliness.

    + Gown appropriately for entry into manufacturing areas.

    + Maintain accurate records both manually and electronically.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industries.

    + Proficiency in environmental monitoring and laboratory practices.

    + Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

    + Experience or knowledge in aseptic manufacturing operations.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + Degree in a science-related field is preferred, although significant EM experience may suffice.

    + Ability to troubleshoot and adapt to schedule changes.

    + Ambitious and flexible personality to handle dynamic environments.

    Work Environment

    This is a graveyard position working 12 hour shifts, 100% on-site within lab and manufacturing spaces. The work schedule includes three 12-hour shifts, 6pm-6am, from Sunday to Wednesday or Thursday to Saturday. Initially, the role will involve day shifts five days a week with rotating Saturdays, transitioning to the permanent schedule after 2-3 months of training. The position offers a long-term contract with benefits including 2 weeks of accrued PTO, 9 holidays, and medical/dental/vision coverage. Gowning is required for entry into manufacturing areas.

    This is a 6 month - 3 year contract position based out of La Verne, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $30.00/hr.
