Job Title: IOP Phlebotomist
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated phlebotomists to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for drawing blood and performing specimen processing in a doctor's office setting. You will play a crucial role in the collection, receipt, and preparation of biological specimens for analytical testing, ensuring accurate data entry into our computer system. This position also involves performing specified analytical testing as assigned, while adhering to our Code of Conduct guidelines.
Responsibilities
+ Collect and receive biological specimens into the department.
+ Enter specimen information accurately into the computer system.
+ Prepare samples for analytical testing and distribute specimens to the appropriate analytical areas.
+ Perform specified analytical testing as assigned.
+ Ensure compliance with the Code of Conduct.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in blood draw and specimen collection.
+ Experience in laboratory and phlebotomy procedures.
+ At least 1 year of experience in phlebotomy, preferably with cancer patients.
+ Competence in specimen processing and patient care.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience working with cancer patients is preferred.
+ A GED or high school diploma is required.
Work Environment
Candidate cannot live more than 15 miles away. You will work as a phlebotomist inside a doctor's office, drawing blood from patients and collaborating closely with medical assistants. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, at Scottsdale, AZ. Our environment offers opportunities for growth, with a career ladder that allows for advancement to a Phlebotomy Technician 2 after six months, along with a 4% pay increase. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scottsdale, Arizona.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.36/hr.
