    Job Title: 2nd Shift Manufacturing Test TechnicianJob Description

     

    This role focuses on creating and maintaining a robust production test capability for our second shift production lines, which operate from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The position involves working closely with Test and Manufacturing Engineers to develop, deploy, and maintain test fixtures, assembly fixtures, and various production tools and equipment. The role also requires analyzing tester performance to identify trends and support production equipment downtime and preventative maintenance.

    Responsibilities

    + Act as the first line of support for 'Line-Down' situations.

    + Utilize troubleshooting skills to rework and repair assigned equipment.

    + Implement and maintain ESD mitigation and protection systems.

    + Analyze first-pass yield data to identify trends and perform root cause corrective actions (RRCA).

    + Perform initial troubleshooting of failures affecting equipment, fixtures, and processes.

    + Assist with the implementation and installation of new fixtures and equipment.

    + Fill in required documentation and evaluate new test equipment and TPM plans.

    + Actively participate in production improvement activities and seek improvement opportunities.

    + Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in Engineering, Electronics, and Testing.

    + Proficiency with Test Fixtures and PCBs.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills.

    + Minimum of 5 years' experience in wiring and building custom panels, or building custom panels from a mechanical perspective.

    + Strong mechanical aptitude, with skills such as rebuilding cars or assembling custom equipment.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + 2-year technical AAS degree preferred.

    + Familiarity with electrical and mechanical drawing symbols.

    + Ability to work on multiple projects with different Project Engineers.

    + Sensitivity to schedules and budgets.

    + A two-year electro-mechanical degree (Technician, Low Voltage, Electrician, etc.) is preferred, or 4+ years related experience.

    + Excellent mechanical aptitude with a focus on continuous improvement.

    + Physical capability to perform job duties.

    + Ability to work with minimum supervision.

    Work Environment

    This position involves a dual role of working both behind a desk and on the production floor. The individual will partner with another engineer, leads, and other team members. The work environment supports a growing company with great benefits and a cool product line.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
