Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Intake
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician for an intake role, focusing on patient care coordination. This position offers a dynamic environment, allowing for professional growth and the opportunity to transition from contract to permanent employment.
Responsibilities
+ Review the contents of referrals to ensure complete and accurate information is received.
+ Create patient profiles from scanned or faxed images by entering correct patient and provider information.
+ Conduct initial checks of prescriptions to ensure clinical accuracy for processing.
+ Communicate with providers regarding referral status, prescription clarification, missing information, or patient concerns.
+ Update concise progress notes to ensure other roles within the workflow can quickly assess the status of referrals.
+ Enter new provider information accurately.
Essential Skills
+ High school graduate or equivalent education.
+ Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician, excluding trainee experience.
+ Valid Pharmacy Technician License in Texas.
+ Active Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification.
+ Proficiency with computer skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in retail or specialty pharmacy settings.
+ Strong typing skills.
+ Eagerness to learn and ability to embrace challenges.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role with no hybrid or remote options. Located at Park Vista Blvd, Suite 150, Fort Worth, TX, the schedule is Monday to Friday, 10am to 7pm CST. Training lasts for 3 weeks, from 9am to 6pm CST, Monday to Friday, with the potential for schedule adjustments between 9am-6pm or 10am-7pm. The office setting includes individual cubicles with sitting and standing desk options, allowing for personal decoration.

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, Texas.
Pay Rate: $23/hr
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
