Job Title: Safety Manager

Job Description

This position involves investigating incidents or near misses and reporting findings. The Safety Manager is expected to attend and conduct regular safety meetings, instructing tradespersons on project safety practices and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role requires coordination and administration of Site Safety Programs to comply with federal, state, local, and company safety and occupational health standards. The position involves providing safety resource support, including training and permitting, with the objective of ensuring that all employees return 'Home Healthy – Home Safe' each shift. Travel is required, and a company vehicle or allowance will be provided.

Responsibilities

+ Lead or participate in incident investigations and emergency response.

+ Conduct site inspections and track all corrective actions to closure.

+ Perform job safety analysis.

+ Maintain jobsite-specific safety logs and documentation.

+ Coach and teach safety practices across the region.

+ Conduct safety training sessions.

+ Take direction related to timely abatement and control of hazards.

Essential Skills

+ 5 years of construction experience, with at least 1 year in on-site construction safety responsibilities.

+ OSHA 30-hour Construction Outreach Training or greater.

+ Working knowledge of construction safety regulations and hazard control methods.

+ Demonstrated ability to conduct safety training.

+ Strong computer knowledge and skills.

+ Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

+ Strong ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Specialized training relevant to scope of work.

+ Demonstrated knowledge of risk, liability, and safety management.

+ Self-motivated with strong tracking and follow-up skills.

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite opportunity with a work schedule of 60-hour weeks. The position involves working on large projects with the potential for significant overtime. The safety managers will have staggered shifts to ensure each gets 40 hours. The role offers great experience and support from executives and senior -level project managers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $45.67/hr.
