Job Title: Commercial Superintendent

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Superintendent with a strong background in ground-up commercial retail construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all on-site operations, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, and maintaining project schedules and quality standards.

Responsibilities

+ Manage ground-up commercial retail construction projects.

+ Effectively coordinate and deconflict work between subcontractors and owner-provided vendors to ensure smooth site operations.

+ Oversee all aspects of the construction site, including safety enforcement, quality control, and adherence to construction drawings.

+ Identify and communicate all Requests for Information (RFIs) to the project management team in a timely manner.

+ Collaborate with the Project Manager to review and validate all change orders and subcontractor pay applications.

+ Develop and maintain a rolling three-week look-ahead schedule, updated and submitted every Monday throughout the project lifecycle.

Essential Skills

+ Ground-up commercial retail construction experience.

+ Ability to coordinate and deconflict with subcontractors and owner-provided vendors.

+ Proficiency in managing all operations on the construction site, including safety and quality verification.

+ Experience with Procore or similar construction management software.

+ Competence in communicating RFIs to the project management team.

+ Experience in reviewing change orders and pay applications with the Project Manager.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Willingness to travel to job sites.

Work Environment

The work will be conducted onsite, requiring travel to different sites. Benefits include 401K, health and dental insurance, profit sharing options after 12 months, an end-of-year performance bonus, vehicle allowance with a gas card, and a cell phone allowance. While permanent hires are preferred, there is openness to superintendents interested in a contract for one project at a time.

90k-100k Salary

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
