    Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Lead

     

    Employment Type: Full-time

    Overview

    As a QA Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of finished products, raw ingredients, and packaging materials. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong leadership skills, and is passionate about food safety and quality assurance.

    Key Responsibilities

    Lead and support QA Technicians in daily tasks and responsibilities.

     

    Train and develop technicians in their roles and responsibilities.

     

    Monitor and follow the HACCP Plan to ensure food safety during production.

     

    Analyze quality data to identify and recommend process improvements.

     

    Ensure calibration of instruments for accurate monitoring of critical control points.

     

    Coordinate with production teams on regulatory and quality issues; document corrective actions.

     

    Train associates and ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

     

    Inspect and maintain sanitation standards across production areas.

     

    Collect and ship samples for R&D or other testing needs.

     

    Participate in first production runs and pilot runs.

     

    Perform non-conformance investigations and reporting.

     

    Delegate tasks and conduct direct observations of QA technicians.

    Requirements

    High School Diploma or equivalent required; 1–2 years of related experience and/or training

     

    Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific field is preferred.

     

    Certification in Food Safety or Quality is a plus.

     

    Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

     

    Ability to operate standard lab equipment and read technical specifications.

     

    Familiarity with GMPs and food safety fundamentals.

     

    Comfortable using digital tools such as tablets or iPads.

     

    Ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organization.

     

    Working Conditions

     

    Physical demands and work environment characteristics are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of the role.

     

    Must be able to work in a production environment with varying temperatures and conditions.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
