We’re hiring a Medical Assistant to join a highly respected internal medicine practice in Westerly, RI. This is your chance to be part of a top-tier healthcare organization known for its commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and professional development.

About the Role

As a Medical Assistant, you’ll be a key member of the care team—supporting both clinical and administrative functions to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience. You’ll work closely with providers and patients in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your contributions truly make a difference.

Key Responsibilities

+ Room patients and take vital signs

+ Assist with exams, procedures, and documentation

+ Administer injections and perform EKGs as needed

+ Process prior authorizations and manage insurance documentation

+ Schedule appointments and handle patient communications

+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system

What You Bring

+ Strong clinical and administrative skills

+ Excellent communication and customer service abilities

+ Experience with EPIC or other EMR systems (preferred)

+ Knowledge of insurance processes and prior authorizations

+ Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy office setting

+ A positive, team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
