    Job Title: Industrial EngineerJob Description

     

    Join our dynamic team as an Industrial Engineer where you will model an entire factory, integrating inputs from our Industrial Engineering (IE) and Manufacturing Engineering (ME) teams. You will work with part quantity analysis, production schedules, time standards, and manufacturing process details to create a comprehensive solution that incorporates automation and controls. Your role will involve continuous maintenance of deliverables to adapt to changes from the IE and ME teams.

    Responsibilities

    + Conduct Part & Product Flow Analysis.

    + Create CAD Layouts (2D & 3D).

    + Analyze Cycle Time and Sequence of Operation.

    + Perform Ergonomic Analysis.

    + Conduct System Throughput Analysis.

    + Perform Robot Reach & Payload Studies.

    + Simulate Robot Paths.

    + Select and implement automated equipment.

    + Develop System Content (B.O.M.).

    + Apply Automation & Robotics solutions.

    + Collaborate with Operations Excellence (OpX), Shop Operations, and Facility Management to implement standardized solutions and industry best practices from procurement preparation through Site Acceptance Test.

    + Work closely with site CORE, Industrial, and Manufacturing Engineering teams to develop solutions.

    + Ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Safety and Preventative Maintenance requirements for manufacturing development.

    + Lead projects to deliver automated manufacturing system proposals to achieve optimal engineered solutions meeting all production goals.

    + Execute the gated process for system engineering.

    + Manage open issues and action items.

    + Communicate with business partners both locally and remotely, internally and externally.

    + Participate in the capital procurement process to execute automation projects.

    Essential Skills

    + 5-10 years of industrial experience.

    + System integration experience including designing process flows, understanding equipment integration, time studies, continuous improvement, and advising engineers on system design improvements.

    + Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, specifically automated manufacturing systems.

    + Experience with plant simulation software such as Siemens Plant Simulation, AutoCAD, Siemens NX, and SketchUp.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Siemens Process Simulate and/or Fanuc Roboguide.

    + Engineering degree is a plus.

    Work Environment

    This position operates on the first shift from 6 AM to 2 PM with flexibility to start at 7 or 8 AM if needed. Our location hosts a diverse workforce with 200,000 employees across 70 different countries. Employees enjoy 12 holidays and 2 weeks of paid time off annually. This is a one-year contract position with potential for a permanent role based on performance and headcount approval.

    This is a Contract position based out of Lansing, Michigan.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $75.00/hr.
