This is a remote/virtual position, allowing candidates to work from anywhere within the United States. The role involves supporting electric power projects by evaluating and optimizing their technical, commercial, environmental, and financial aspects.
Responsibilities
+ Provide development support, conceptual design, and owner’s engineer services for electric power generation projects.
+ Perform technical evaluations of electric power generation projects and facilities.
+ Support project economic and cost analysis, risk assessments, and contract development.
+ Conduct engineering design reviews, technical due diligence, project development support, and conceptual design.
+ Travel within the United States and internationally as required.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
+ 10+ years of experience in the electric power industry.
+ Experience in detailed design of medium voltage electrical systems for thermal power projects.
+ Proficiency in simple cycle gas turbines, combined cycle projects, coal-fired generation, or reciprocating engines (RICE).
+ Strong technical communication and writing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in technical due diligence and owner’s engineering design reviews is a plus.
+ Understanding of power station operations and performance reviews is advantageous.
+ Familiarity with international design codes and standards is preferred.
+ Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering is acceptable.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $116000.00 - $180000.00/hr.
