Manufacturing Engineer – Chicago, IL

Overview:

Seeking a Manufacturing Assembly Engineer to develop and improve assembly processes for efficient, high-quality production. This role works closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to optimize workflows and ensure compliance with safety and manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Design and improve assembly/test processes and tooling.

+ Implement process improvements to boost productivity and reduce waste.

+ Support daily production and troubleshoot technical issues.

+ Train technicians on new processes and safety protocols.

+ Collaborate with design engineers on manufacturability.

+ Develop tools and plans for new product launches.

+ Ensure equipment maintenance and calibration.

+ Drive quality improvements and corrective actions.

+ Support Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S initiatives.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

+ 5+ years in manufacturing or assembly engineering.

+ Proficient in CAD (NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP/MRP systems.

+ Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

+ Knowledge of OSHA, ISO, and other manufacturing standards.

+ Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power BI.

+ Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $85000.00/yr.
