    We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Geologist to assume both lead and supporting technical roles in various projects. The position involves technical report writing, database management, and conducting Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs). The ideal candidate will perform investigations at CERCLA, RCRA, and Petroleum sites, and engage in the collection of soil and water samples using various techniques. Additionally, planning and coordinating with subcontractors and field personnel is required, as well as supporting roles in proposals and marketing efforts.

    Responsibilities

    + Lead and support technical roles in projects.

    + Write reports and generate figures, tables, and manage databases.

    + Conduct Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).

    + Investigate CERCLA, RCRA, and Petroleum sites.

    + Collect soil and water samples using various sampling techniques.

    + Plan and coordinate with subcontractors and field personnel.

    + Support proposals and marketing efforts.

    Work Environment

    This position includes both field and non-field responsibilities, requiring up to 50% field work and/or travel. Office work is conducted on Wednesdays in the Germantown office. The role offers the advantage of being employee-owned, with an ESOP structure, and enjoys the support of a large corporation with significant projects that bolster business growth.

    This is a Contract position based out of Germantown, Maryland.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $41.00/hr.
