    Job Title: Certified Medical Assistant

    Job Description

    The Certified Medical Assistant provides a wide range of assistive services to promote patient flow, gather patient information, and deliver patient care in the clinic setting. The role involves patient access duties, such as patient check-in and appointment setting for the Provider's office, to support patient care delivery and follow-up.

    Responsibilities

    + Interview patients and document their responses in the medical record according to standard procedures.

    + Observe, record, and report patients’ responses to medications and treatments to providers.

    + Handle documentation and communication of medication refills.

    + Assist providers with examinations and procedures.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in medical assisting and patient care.

    + Strong customer service skills.

    + Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and electronic health records.

    + Knowledge of medical terminology.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + High School Diploma is required.

    + CMA - Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification is required.

    + Basic Life Support certification is required.

    + Six months of experience in a physician’s office or healthcare setting is preferred.

    Work Environment

    The work environment involves a physician clinic setting where electronic health records are utilized. The role requires interaction with patients and providers, fostering a supportive and efficient care delivery system.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
