    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Assistant Professor will be appointed as a member of the full-time faculty of the Department of Urology reporting directly to the Chairman with the following specific responsibilities:

    Function as an attending physician at University of Miami Hospital and Clinics (UMH C ), Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH), and Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) including responsibility for coverage of inpatient and outpatient cases as well as operating room supervision of residents and outpatient clinics in the Ambulatory Care Center s .

     

    Perform clinical activit ies through the University of Miami Medical Group (UMMG) clinical practice plan as well as supervise and teach residents and fellows both in inpatient and outpatient settings. This i nclud es surgical activit ies at UMH C , JMH, and VA .

     

    Will also provide Urology in-patient consultat ions and emergency on-call .

    Requirements:

     

    Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida . Demonstrated clinical experience and/or fellowship training with a focus in Oncologic Urology .

     

    Department Specific

     

    The Department of Urology at the University of Miami, School of Medicine has a faculty position available for Assistant Professor of Clinical Urology . The Assistant Professor is appointed to a faculty position in the Department of Urology reporting directly to the Chairman . The Assistant Professor will f unction as an attending physician at University of Miami Hospital and Clinics (UMH C ), Jackson Memorial Hospital (JMH), and Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC) including responsibility for coverage of inpatient and outpatient cases as well as operating room supervision of residents and outpatient clinics in the Ambulatory Care Centers.     Candidate should have an M.D. from accredited medical school, completion of approved urology residency training program, licensed or eligible for Florida license to practice medicine, Board-certified/Board-eligible in urology . Post-graduate fellowship /experience in Oncologic Urology medicine is require d .
