• Staff Accountant

    Robert Half Finance & Accounting (Columbus, OH)


    Description

    + Prepare and post journal entries

    + Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

    + Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

    + Maintain and update financial records in accounting systems

    + Support accounts payable and receivable functions

    + Assist with audits by providing documentation and explanations as needed

    + Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

    + Prepare financial reports for management review

    + Perform other related duties as assigned

    Requirements

    + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

    + 1–3 years of accounting experience (internships included)

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP)

    + Strong understanding of GAAP

    + Excellent organizational and time management skills

    + High attention to detail and accuracy

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

    + CPA or working toward CPA certification is a plus
