Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Logistics Analyst to join our team in Wichita, Kansas. This contract position offers an opportunity to contribute to critical regulatory processes tied to import and export operations within the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with customs regulations and maintain thorough documentation to support annual reconciliation requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and organized regulatory records, both physical and electronic, for import and export activities.
• Handle customs reconciliation processes by gathering and analyzing yearly data, including income statements, material costs, customs database entries, and freight expenses.
• Prepare and submit required forms to ensure compliance with customs regulations and avoid penalties.
• Collaborate with brokers and internal teams to provide accurate information for reconciliation filings.
• Manage reporting and documentation related to importer trade activity and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure timely filing of reconciliation documents to meet mandatory deadlines.
• Oversee regulatory recordkeeping processes essential for annual customs reconciliation procedures.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to gather necessary data for customs filings and reporting.
• Identify discrepancies in reconciliation data and take corrective actions as needed.
• Support compliance efforts by maintaining detailed and accurate records of import/export transactions. Requirements • Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management, particularly in import/export operations.
• Strong understanding of customs regulations and reconciliation processes.
• Proficiency in managing regulatory documentation and electronic recordkeeping systems.
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial and logistical data for compliance purposes.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with brokers and internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with logistics software and tools for data management.
• Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and handle time-sensitive processes.
