Description

We’re partnering with a growing SaaS client in Mount Pleasant, SC seeking a Fractional Controller to join their team on a part-time basis (approximately 30 hours per week).

This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who enjoys both the details of full-cycle accounting and the strategic side of FP& A.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring they align with accounting standards and company policies.

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to support financial accuracy and transparency.

• Lead financial planning and analysis (FP& A) efforts, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

• Manage accounts payable (AP) processes, including vendor payments and expense tracking.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper documentation and scanning of financial records.

• Monitor compliance with SaaS-specific financial regulations and standards.

• Compile and analyze financial data to assist in forecasting and budgeting activities.

• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.

• Proven expertise in month-end close, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation.

• Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis (FP& A) methodologies.

• Familiarity with SaaS industry financial processes and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in managing accounts payable operations.

• Excellent organizational and documentation skills, including experience with document scanning and control.

• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
