    Army Field Artillery Rocket & Missile Systems Acquisition Specialist

    Position Description:

    Serves as an acquisition specialist supporting the Project Manager (PM), Strategic and Operational Rockets and Missiles (STORM) as a liaison operating at the Fires Center of Excellence in Lawton, OK. Supports all Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) and High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) platforms and munitions.

     

    This position is located in Lawton, OK.

    Your future duties and responsibilities:

    . Provide technical and management support for the planning, direction, and control of Precision Guided Munitions and Rockets (PGMR) programs and act as liaison between the Fires Center of Excellence and the PGMR Product Office for all user-related and acquisition programs within PGMR

    . Provide advice and recommendations to the Product Managers and Deputies on elements related to user functions

    . Conduct functional and empirical analysis to support PM STORM, related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, including but not limited to, application, utility, development, and diagnostic software and in accordance with the Army Acquisition Process

    . Support the development and review of technical and tactical documents and operational manuals relating to Battle Command Systems, software and hardware interoperability with the Advanced Field Artillery Tactical Data System (AFATDS) and STORM software, tools, and trainers

    . Manage technical tasks during software fielding to field artillery units

    . Review and research training material development for Army military occupational specialties (MOS) training and other users

    . Provide technical analyses to develop functional requirements from the Army Transformation and Lessons Learned Manager (TLLM) to the PM, ensuring they are conveyed in a clear and understandable manner

    . Conduct research on software test reports and score them for future fire control and command and control software builds

    . Support cyber assessments and evaluations for launcher software interoperability with AFATDS)/C4I

    . Manage US Army HIMARS Software Suite fielding, enabling HIMARS units with updated warfighting capability

    . Develop focused instructional products for US Army and foreign military units to provide functional and technical knowledge of the system and the specific tasks required to employ equipment

    . Ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision is required

    Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

    Ten years' experience with field artillery rocket systems or six years' experience with Bachelor's Degree.

     

    Secret security clearance

    Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:

    Competence with Microsoft Office Suite to prepare briefings, training materials, and requirements documents.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $62,700.00 - $173,500.00.
