    Description

    A respected construction and contracting company in Escondido is looking for a motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join their accounting department. This company has a long-standing reputation for quality work and integrity, and they’re seeking someone who shares their attention to detail and commitment to excellence. The AR Clerk will play a key role in managing billing, tracking payments, and maintaining accurate financial records for multiple projects. This position offers a great opportunity to learn the full accounting cycle while supporting a busy, project-based environment.

    • What You’ll Be Doing

    + Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices based on project milestones and billing schedules.

    + Track incoming payments, apply cash receipts, and reconcile accounts.

    + Communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances and resolve billing discrepancies.

    + Maintain organized documentation for contracts, billing schedules, and payment records.

    + Prepare aging reports and assist with month-end close activities.

    + Work closely with project managers to ensure invoices align with project timelines and budgets.

    Requirements

    + 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, billing, or general accounting.

    + Familiarity with the construction industry or project-based billing preferred.

    + Strong organizational and time management skills.

    + Solid computer literacy — especially Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).

    + Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

    + A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to thrive in a busy, deadline-driven environment.
