Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a Contract-to-Ongoing basis in Oakland Park, Florida. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial success of the organization by ensuring accurate and timely accounting operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in corporate tax and general ledger management, as well as a commitment to maintaining compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.

• Manage sales tax filings and related documentation in accordance with state and federal requirements.

• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.

• Oversee general ledger activities, including account reconciliation and periodic audits.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely reporting.

• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze financial data and provide insights for decision-making.

• Monitor and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Support the transition to an ongoing role by maintaining consistent performance and alignment with organizational goals.

• Perform ad-hoc financial reporting tasks as needed to support overall accounting functions. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and filing.

• Proficiency in managing general ledger and journal entries.

• Strong knowledge of sales tax regulations and compliance.

• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
