Description We are looking for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our team in Chevy Chase, Maryland. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in legal administrative support, ensuring smooth daily operations within a fast-paced legal environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file legal documents, including electronic filing (e-filing) with courts.

• Maintain and update attorneys' calendars, scheduling meetings, hearings, and deadlines.

• Manage dictation and transcription of legal correspondence and documentation.

• Organize and maintain physical and electronic files to ensure accessibility and accuracy.

• Coordinate court filings and ensure compliance with procedural requirements.

• Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court officials to facilitate case progress.

• Assist in the preparation of legal documents such as pleadings, contracts, and briefs.

• Monitor and manage deadlines to ensure timely submission of all required documents.

• Provide general administrative support, including answering phones and managing correspondence.

• Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role.

• Proficiency in e-filing and court filing procedures.

• Strong skills in calendar management and scheduling.

• Experience with dictation and transcription.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
