Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II (A Shift)

Primary Duties:
The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of moderately complex mechanical and electrical issues as it relates to manual and semi-automated manufacturing equipment. This position works closely with a team of Manufacturing Maintenance Technicians in a fast-paced production environment and will address escalated issues to lower-level team members.
1. Perform moderately complex repairs involving manual to semi-automated manufacturing and/or packaging equipment. Perform basic routine preventative and scheduled maintenance on manual to semi-automated production equipment, which may include the replacement of failed/broken components (i.e. bearing, belts, motors, etc.), cleaning and lubricating parts, etc.
2. Performs complex troubleshooting activities to identify issues with equipment and use judgment to repair or correct those issues which are often beyond the scope of established WIDs and documentation; hardware, electrical, etc.
3. Provide emergency support to repair production equipment in order to keep production lines operational at all times.
4. Dismantle defective and/or outdated equipment.
5. Build and install new/repaired parts or equipment according to blueprints, specifications, WIDs, and SOPs.
6. Performs some moderately, complex automation tasks, including some work with automation calibration or set-up tasks
7. Must be able to take and pass required EPA testing for refrigeration certification.
8. Act as a mentor to Manufacturing Maintenance Technician II team members
9. Perform off-line mechanical rework activities.
10. Acts as a departmental subject matter expert to support business needs and objectives beyond standard team activities
11. Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Training
Minimum Level of Education Required High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
Must have or be able to obtain EPA refrigeration certification
Associates Degree Preferred
Experience:
1. Years of experience: 1-2 years of related experience
2 Must have previous troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment experience.
3. Previous experience in a fast-paced cGMP environment is strongly preferred.
4. Experience with the following is preferred: Advanced proficiency with electrical systems, Mechanical systems, Pneumatics, & Documentation

Working Conditions:
Ability to remain in stationary position, often standing, for prolonged periods.
Ability to ascend/descend stairs, ladders, ramps, and the like.
Ability to wear PPE correctly most of the day.
Ability to operate heavy machinery.
Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions
Ability to perceive and distinguish colors. Must be able to perform duties wearing a Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR)
