Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

The General Production Worker provides hands-on sorting and preparation support to produce accurate quality and quantity of recycled paper stock for mill customers. This position is essential in maintaining the standards of safety, quality, and efficiency within the production facility.

Responsibilities

+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

+ Consistently demonstrate and incorporate principles of safety for self and others into daily activities.

+ Attend required safety training and participate in emergency drills and exercises.

+ Report all safety and quality problems to the Production leads or Production Manager.

+ Sort materials, such as paper or plastics, into appropriate piles for further processing.

+ Remove all foreign materials, such as metals, wood, and plastics, depositing materials into collection bins.

+ Stack and band pallets and Gaylords per requirements of facility.

+ Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to show up for all scheduled shifts.

+ Reliable transportation.

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift continuously and perform physical tasks.

+ Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions.

+ Ability to work independently or in a group.

+ Strong attention to detail.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High school diploma or GED is preferred.

+ Entry-level position with little or no prior manufacturing production experience required.

+ Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as requested.

+ Occasional climbing and balancing.

+ Requires continuous standing and frequent lifting, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, pulling, pushing, twisting of the trunk and neck, reaching, and grasping.

Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
