Job Title: Construction Foreman
Tenured working foreman, high opportunity to be promoted to superintendent.
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Foreman to lead and manage construction crews, ensuring safety and productivity on-site. This role requires an individual who can effectively communicate production goals and maintain a clean and orderly job site.
Responsibilities
+ Organize and lead a construction crew in a safe and productive manner.
+ Track production and complete paperwork daily.
+ Maintain a clean and tidy job site.
+ Lead by example and mentor crew members.
+ Communicate production goals to the crew and ensure accountability.
+ Collaborate closely with the Site Superintendent.
+ Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Essential Skills
+ 5+ years of experience managing a heavy equipment operating crew.
+ Leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills.
+ Proficiency in operating multiple pieces of equipment such as Dozer, Track Hoe, and Grader.
+ Experience with GPS systems, particularly Trimble/TopCon.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with heavy equipment operation, civil construction, and blueprint reading.
+ Ability to operate machinery like excavators, dozers, backhoes, skid steers, loaders, and track hoes.
+ Concrete installation and general labor experience.

Work Environment
The role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, requiring adaptability to cold and extreme heat. The work is local to the Charleston market, with no travel required. Employees must provide their own personal protective equipment, including boots, vest, hard hat, and gloves. Expect to work approximately 50 hours weekly, weather permitting, with a strong emphasis on safety.

This is a Contract to Hire position.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $28.00/hr.
