Job Description: Framing Carpenter

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable **Framing Carpenter** to join our commercial construction team in Madison, WI. The ideal candidate will have experience in structural framing for large-scale commercial buildings and a strong understanding of construction plans, safety protocols, and teamwork. This role involves working on-site to build the framework of offices, retail spaces, industrial facilities, and other commercial structures.
Key Responsibilities
+ Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and building plans to determine framing requirements
+ Measure, cut, and assemble wood and metal framing components using hand and power tools
+ Construct walls, floors, roofs, and partitions for commercial buildings with precision and efficiency
+ Install trusses, joists, studs, and sheathing materials according to project specifications and local building codes
+ Operate tools and equipment such as saws, nail guns, levels, and scaffolding safely and effectively
+ Collaborate with site supervisors, project managers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion
+ Follow OSHA safety standards and company policies to maintain a safe job site
+ Assist with material handling, site cleanup, and preparation as needed
Qualifications
+ Minimum 2–3 years of framing experience in commercial construction
+ Proficient in reading blueprints and using construction tools
+ Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions
+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
+ Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Madison
+ OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
