    Job Description

    Join our dynamic team as a Machine Operator where you will play a crucial role in the production of glass preform rods. Your daily tasks will involve drawing fibers using a combination of gravity and heat, and potentially applying coatings. This position is perfect for those who are comfortable working at heights in a specialized cage lift environment. MUST BE COMFORTABLE WITH HEIGHTS

    Responsibilities

    + Draw fibers and produce glass preform rods.

    + Operate machinery to ensure efficient production processes.

    + Work in a cage lift environment while adhering to safety protocols.

    + Assist with the coating process as needed.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience in manufacturing processes and machine operation.

    + Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

    + Comfortable working at heights.

    + Open to candidates with trade school or technical high school experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to work well within a team environment.

    + Strong attention to detail and quality control.

    + Good communication skills.

    Work Environment

     

    Our facility operates on a Monday to Friday schedule with three shifts available: 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:00pm, 2nd shift from 3:00pm to 11:00pm, and 3rd shift from 11:00pm to 7:00am. Overtime is occasionally available on a voluntary basis. The production floor is clean, quiet, well-lit, and organized, requiring steel-toed boots and safety glasses. You will work in a small team of five, alongside a team lead during each shift.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $55910.00/yr.
