We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Master Layout Designer to join our global team, acting as a central hub of expertise and support for transformer engineers in our factories worldwide. This role is crucial for ensuring our design processes are efficient, reliable, and continuously evolving.
Your primary focus will be on giving support on applying solutions and guiding our engineers. You'll work closely with various global factories to implement new tools, design rules, and innovative solutions, ensuring they are practical and effective in a real-world manufacturing environment.
You'll connect the needs of our factories with our R&D team, helping to turn new ideas into productive solutions. By connecting the specific needs of our factories with our R&D development team, you'll help shape the next generation of our design technology. You'll be instrumental in building a culture of continuous learning, leading training sessions and sharing your expertise to help our global team grow and develop their skills.
This work is guided by agile principles (like SAFe) to ensure we remain responsive and adaptable to the evolving needs of our global operations. You'll be instrumental in building a comprehensive knowledge base, solidifying our collective expertise and making it accessible to everyone.
How You’ll Make an Impact
+ Provide Technical Support: Give quick support to product engineers and assist transformer engineers with R&D rules and tools to minimize downtime.
+ Test and Improve Tools: Conduct pre-release tests of tools in real-world scenarios and provide feedback to developers.
+ Streamline Information Flow: Improve information flow and facilitate communication between factories, R&D, and other stakeholders, ensuring R&D development aligns with factory needs.
+ Ensure Quality and Knowledge Transfer: Ensure consistent global quality through structured technology transfer and work on a centralized knowledge hub for engineers.
+ Cultivate a Learning Community: Cultivate a community for experts to share knowledge and develop training programs for widespread adoption of best practices.
+ Propose Improvements: Use your understanding of factory experiences to propose improvements for tools and rules, linking R&D advancements with practical engineering applications.
What You Bring
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related field with significant experience in Power Transformer Design.
+ 3+ years of experience understanding of various transformer types, including their layout design and creation of BoM or in a related role.
+ Good understanding of transformer components and their interactions, such as the core, windings, insulation, and leads.
+ A good understanding of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality processes, along with experience in technical product development.
+ A willingness to work in an agile development culture, share knowledge, and contribute to continuous improvement.
+ Strong communication skills to explain complex information, fluent English, and an openness to change with a strong self-motivation.
