    **Position** : QC Associate Devens

    **Location** **:** Devens, MA

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Performs routine testing and data review of stability and batch release samples in a cGMP compliant environment.

    + Performs routine assays such as ELISA, B7 Binding by SPR and qPCR analysis.

    + Perform activities to support lab operations such as housekeeping, alarm acknowledgement, reagent preparation, inventory management, material and reagent ordering, sample pickup and discarding, and execution of work orders.

    + Collaborates with the team leader to coordinate and schedule assignments, offering

    + Analyze laboratory data to identify and react to emerging trends, ensuring that potential issues are addressed proactively, and product quality remains within established acceptance criteria.

    + Records performance metrics and analyzes trending data.

    + May update QC documents for managerial review and approval.

    + Contributes to and leads simple projects within the team. Also contributes to complex projects.

    + May train colleagues in the execution of tasks and testing.

    + Supports deviation investigations and laboratory investigations through data gathering or interview process. May lead no impact deviations and Lab Investigations.

    + Identifies and escalates challenges & barriers to execution, suggests solutions, and participates in remediation.

    + Identifies and escalates method and/or instrument issues. Also supports solutions.

    + Actively and positively learns and participates in Operational Excellence (OpEx) and Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives in the team.

    + Positive, supportive, and actively collaborates within the team.

    + Complete all required tasks compliantly and safely while consistently and intentionally modeling BMS values (Integrity, Accountability, Passion, Urgency, Innovation, and Inclusion).

    + Perform other tasks as assigned

    Qualifications & Experience:

    + Knowledge of science generally attained through studies resulting in a BS degree, preferably in Bioanalytical, Molecular Biology, or related discipline.

    + A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Biologics QC laboratory in the testing environment.

    + Experience in analytical test methods such ELISA, B7 Binding by SPR and qPCR analysis is highly preferred.

    + Knowledge of lab software applications (e.g., LIMS and LES) preferred.

    + High attention to detail with strong general laboratory and good organizational skills.

    + Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team, to complete assignments within defined time constraints.

    + Ability to interpret and apply cGMPs, USP, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

    + Demonstrates problem solving and analytical thinking skills.

    + Experience working on visual management scheduling tools, 5S and op-ex initiatives is highly preferred.

    Work Environment:

    + QC Associates will work in teams and have continual interaction with members of his/her team as well as other teams throughout the facility in order to exchange information regarding testing completed, in process and planned.

    + All QC Associates will have daily contact with her/his supervisory staff for work assignments, coaching and general management discussions. Incumbents normally receive general instructions on routine work and specific instructions on new assignments.

    + Occasional contact with other line management staff relating to specific project responsibilities may be expected.

    + Overtime work may be required on weekdays, weekends, and holidays and during adverse weather conditions to support manufacturing facilities.

    Compensation Overview:

    Devens - MA - US: $35.82 - $43.41per hour

     

    The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
