    What’s the Role?

     

    Bloomberg attaches the greatest importance to the health, safety and security at work of all our employees, contractors, visitors and customers. The Emergency Preparedness and Incident Response team is responsible for ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and risk management. The Emergency Preparedness and Incident Response team is a part of the Bloomberg Security Operations team, that oversees physical security, safety, enterprise resilience and business continuity.

     

    In this role, you will work alongside existing team members to oversee health, safety and emergency preparedness programs for the Americas, and support in coordinating the response when accidents and physical security incidents occur. This role plays a critical part in driving a proactive safety culture and safeguarding our people, assets, and reputation. This includes ensuring that our operations remain compliant with local, state, federal and international regulations.

    We’ll trust you to

    • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive health and safety programs across

     

    all regional operations in the Americas.

     

    • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international health and safety

     

    regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and regional equivalents.

     

    • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments across sites to identify

     

    hazards and recommend corrective actions.

     

    • Partner with external auditors to ensure external verification of our hazard

     

    identification, risk assessment and control measure processes.

     

    • Lead incident, accident and near miss response, ensuring all incidents are handled in

     

    line with protocols from discovery to after action review and investigation.

     

    • Deliver training and workshops to employees and management on safety protocols,

     

    emergency preparedness, incident management and regulatory compliance.

     

    • Maintain and update safety documentation, including Safety Data Sheets (SDS),

     

    permits, licenses, and certifications.

     

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Workplace Operations, Capital

     

    Projects, HR, and Legal.

     

    • Lead the relevant Health and Safety Committee meetings, including preparing

     

    agendas, presentations and ensuring minutes are taken and distributed.

     

    • Support in the execution of protocols with the Incident Management Teams as a

    responder to major incidents

    • Monitor and report on safety and incident performance metrics and trends to senior

     

    leadership.

    You’ll need to have

    • Proven experience (5+ years) in a health and safety role, ideally with multi-country

     

    oversight.

     

    • A bachelor’s degree.

    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

    • Demonstratable training delivery experience

    • Strong knowledge of international safety standards and regional regulatory

    requirements in North and Latin America

    • Experience in developing and enforcing health and safety policies and procedures.

    • Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to engage diverse teams

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

    • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

    We’d love to see…

    • Professional health and safety certifications (e.g. OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH)

    • Spanish or Portuguese language capabilities to support Latin American operations

    • Familiarity with digital safety management and data analytics tools • A desire to be part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced organization

     

    Salary Range = 120000 - 135000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

     

    The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
