    Hours: 7:00 a.m - 3:30 p.m (8 hours per day, 40 hours per week) - Core Duty Schedule—*Hours may change due to seasonal needs.

     

    FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Support the Director of Facilities and the operations at the Buildings & Grounds Department. Working knowledge of rough carpentry, mechanical repair work, painting or other construction or maintenance trades; efficiency in the use of hand tools and machine tools; ability to perform semi-skilled manual tasks without constant supervision; ability to learn trade skills and methods; ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions; integrity; physical strength and endurance; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Graduation from high school or vocational school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and one (1) year of experience as a helper in any of the skilled building or service trades; or

    + Five (5) years of satisfactory experience as a helper in any of the skilled building or service trades or

    + An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (a) and (b).

     

    SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Possess or obtain a valid NYS CDL Class B driver’s license within 6 months from the date of hire.
