    Job Title: Machine Operator

    Job Description

    The Machine Operator is responsible for executing minor production setups and troubleshooting tasks to ensure efficient operation. The role involves performing various assembly operations while maintaining the product flow and preparing the area for subsequent tasks. Key duties include maintaining machine uptime by efficiently changing containers, visually inspecting parts before skidding, and assisting in daily machine setup tasks.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform minor production setups and light troubleshooting as needed.

    + Execute a variety of assembly operations while maintaining efficient product flow.

    + Prepare the area for the 'next job up' as necessary.

    + Maintain machine uptime by quickly changing out containers and restarting machines.

    + Visually inspect parts prior to placing them on skids.

    + Assist machine setup personnel (Machine OP 2) with their daily duties.

    Essential Skills

    + Ability to stand, walk, and lift 35-40 pounds repeatedly for an 8-hour shift.

    + Capability to multitask and follow instructions from Machine OP2 personnel or supervisors.

    + Proficiency in cleaning up after tasks and operating equipment safely and productively.

    + Comfort working in a fast-paced environment.

    + Strong attention to detail.

    + Flexibility and willingness to assist in different areas of operation.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience running 600-1000 parts a day.

    + Background in the automotive industry, with an understanding of relevant paperwork.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment is a production-based shop specializing in wire bending for the automotive sector. The machinery is primarily older and unique, requiring the operator to wear steel-toed boots (STB), casual clothing, and safety glasses at all times.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract position based out of Independence, Kentucky.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
