    Job Title: Maintenance Technician Supervisor

    Job Description

    We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician Supervisor to support the local Maintenance team during the 3rd shift from 11pm to 6am, working 50 hours a week starting the second week. This role involves both supervisory and hands-on responsibilities, working closely with the maintenance team on the shop floor.

    Responsibilities

    + Coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance teams.

    + Manage employee attendance and hours worked.

    + Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback.

    + Utilize and enforce progressive discipline policy as needed.

    + Delegate maintenance assignments to appropriate teams and personnel.

    + Train and coach new and current employees.

    + Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions.

    + Lead all employees in company safety initiatives, fostering a safe work environment.

    + Understand and enforce the use of required PPE.

    Essential Skills

    + Three or more years of previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

    + Ability to maintain maintenance operations through supervising, planning, scheduling, and monitoring labor productivity.

    + Previous hands-on experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.

    + Experience in Hydraulics and PLCs.

    + Electrical experience.

    + Strong leadership and coaching skills.

    + Experience managing preventive maintenance in a production/manufacturing environment.

    + Comfort with computers and programs like Office and Excel.

    + Strong communication skills.

    + Ability to problem solve and resolve issues.

    + Ability to work any shift is preferred.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Service, Conveyor, Installation, Industrial, Welding, Electrical troubleshooting.

    + Experience in Steel/Dirty Type of Environment.

    + Experience with 3 phase and 480V.

    + Maintenance technician skills: Electrical, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Mechanical, Troubleshooting, Repair, Preventive maintenance, Schematic, Blueprint, Motor repair.

    + MUST HAVES: 480V, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Electrical and Schematics, 2 years of industrial maintenance, HS diploma or GED.

    + Pluses: PLC troubleshooting.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a heavy steel manufacturing environment during the 3rd shift from 11pm to 6am. The setting is a mix of new and old equipment, with a workforce of over 50 full-time workers and approximately 120 people in production, both full-time and temporary. Expect a dirty and not well-lit environment.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Youngstown, Ohio.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.
