Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

As a Machine Operator, you will work with mechanical presses to affix rubber tubing onto metal pipes, which range from 2 inches to 12 inches in diameter. You will operate either a small, medium, or large press, and may use an overhead crane or forklift for the larger presses. Your role involves lifting up to 50 lbs, but assistance and equipment are encouraged for heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

+ Operate small, medium, or large presses to fit rubber tubing onto metal pipes.

+ Use a button to initiate the press and secure the poly material over fittings.

+ Bag and box small parts after processing.

+ Possibly operate a small overhead crane or forklift for large presses.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

+ Mechanical assembly

+ Blueprint reading

+ Experience with press machines

+ General production skills

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Entry-level position with training provided.

+ Forklift operation experience is a plus but not required.

Work Environment

Work in a clean machine shop environment across two buildings in Anoka and one in Blaine. Shifts include 1st shift (medium press) from 6:30 am - 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday, and 2nd shift from 3:30 pm - 2:00 am, Monday to Thursday, with one unpaid 30-minute break and two 15-minute paid breaks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Anoka, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
