Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

Efficiently unload and load packages from freight trucks to cargo containers for plane transportation. Assemble packages inside the cargo container to maximize space and fit the maximum number of packages.

Responsibilities

+ Unload and load packages onto cargo containers from trucks, which arrive with packages already loaded on carts.

+ Break down and remove packages from carts and load them into cargo containers for airline transportation.

+ Assemble items "Tetris style" to maximize package occupancy in cargo containers.

+ Place small boxes and mail into larger bags before putting them on the cargo container.

+ Maintain accurate inventory records using scanning and tracking systems.

+ Follow safety protocols and conduct quality control checks.

+ Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively.

Essential Skills

+ Experience as ramp agents, loading/unloading trucks, general labor, assembling, palletizing, inventory management, order pulling, and using scanners.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

+ Reliable transportation (must be at Stockton Airport as there is no public transportation).

+ Great attendance record is required due to a strict attendance policy.

+ Must be able to obtain airport badge

+ Must have steel-toed boots that cover the ankle.

Work Environment

Work in a warehouse environment located on-site at Stockton Airport. The shift is from 12:30 AM to 9 AM, and availability to work weekends is required. Tentative schedules run from Thursday to Monday, and schedules change every 3 months with new flight schedules. The next schedule change is in mid-November, with announcements made by mid-October.

This is a Contract position based out of Stockton, California. will go until January with the possibility to go permanent.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
