Job Title: Automation Technician II or III
1st, 2nd & 3rd shift - $35-$45
Job Description
This role involves the maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and controls aspects of production machinery. You will ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines, laws, and company policies while maintaining safety standards. Your tasks will include machine rebuilding, electrical troubleshooting and repair, mechanical troubleshooting and repair, preventative/predictive maintenance, control system troubleshooting, and general fabrication.
Responsibilities
+ Respond promptly to production line calls to adjust or repair machines.
+ Perform machine rebuilding, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance.
+ Program, adjust, and troubleshoot automated equipment.
+ Complete general work orders and collaborate with other technicians across shifts.
+ Continuously seek and implement process, productivity, and quality improvements to reduce costs.
+ Execute special projects and other related departmental duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ A technical degree or related training (e.g., Associate’s degree, military training).
+ Two or more years of experience for Level II; four or more years for Level III.
+ Solid experience in equipment repair with skills in installation, alteration, and repair of machinery.
+ Basic fabrication knowledge including tig welding, milling, lathe, hand tools, and threading.
+ Intermediate understanding of AC/DC and 3 phase electrical systems.
+ Knowledge of pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
+ PLC, VFD, and basic automation programming expertise.
+ Ability to apply controls knowledge to machine repair and troubleshooting.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr.
